As the brightly-colored header graphic up top there suggests, Jungle Party is a fun and zany casual title aimed at classy PSP-owning kids with at least a couple of friends to their name. Up to four players can take control of one of four different monkeys and engage in 15 different mini-games in a bid to be named Top Banana/King of the Jungle/[insert your own pun here].
The mini-games range from button-mashing challenges like diminishing a totem pole to precision games such as monkey archery (using the monkeys as projectiles, obviously). There’s also a couple of make-or-break luck-based games in there too, including one which drops either prize-giving fruit or streak-ruining anvils from boxes mounted in the trees. There’s enough variety to guarantee a good hour’s fun at a time, so if you’re a parent it might be worth picking this up for 3 or 4 kids to play together using the PSP’s hotseat multiplayer modes.
