HDAD Rip

Arguably the Project's most celebrated work, spawning our biggest single success with the title track, attaining the Number 3 position on the Billboard chart. I remember feeling very proud as Eric and I drove around America promoting the album - it was never off the radio. Both Eric and Ian Bairnson the guitar player have never let me forget that I hated the song when we first started recording it - I was quite ready to drop it altogether. Then we hit upon the hypnotic guitar chugs and it all came together. The album was also exceptional in that it gave us our only UK hit with Old And Wise. Sirius, the opening track and the intro to Eye In The Sky continues to this day to be used as a sports theme, having been virtually immortalized by Michael Jordan and The Chicago Bulls basketball team. The album also encompasses my least favorite song on all the Projects - Step By Step!
