When I first started Nippon Ichi Software's retro style dungeon crawler, Cladun: This is an RPG, I was surprised to find myself watching the ending credits about ten minutes into the experience. As it turns out, there's a portal in the colorful hub world that lets you end the game whenever you want. Of course, the ending you get after leaving everything unresolved isn't particularly good, so you'll probably want to play for a wee bit longer. And luckily, that "wee bit longer" is a challenging but enjoyable chunk of time.
Cladun (short for Classic Dungeon) is a light-hearted throwback to the 8-bit dungeon crawlers of the past. In it, players take control of a variety of cute character sprites and enter top-downdungeons with the goal of slaying monsters, collecting treasure and, as is usually the case with NIS games, leveling up the heroes so they're ridiculously strong.
