Catherine (Kate) Bush (Bexleyheath (Kent), 30 juli 1958) is een Britse zangeres, muzikante, singer-songwriter en producer. Toen ze nog maar 16 was zorgde David Gilmour van Pink Floyd ervoor dat ze tekende bij EMI.
 
Haar experimentele stijl en aparte zangtechniek zorgde ervoor dat ze wordt gewaardeerd door veel collega-muzikanten en verder door een niet overdreven grote, maar wel zeer toegewijde schare fans. Dat blijkt uit het feit dat haar platen altijd goed verkopen, hoewel ze voor het maken van een album vaak meerdere jaren de tijd neemt; voor Aerial zelfs twaalf jaar


Hounds of Love is a 1985 album by the British singer Kate Bush. It was Bush's fifth studioalbum, and her second no. 1. It has since been certified Double Platinum in the UK.[1] In 2002, Q Magazine named Hounds of Love the third Greatest Album of All-Time by a Female Artist, and in 2000, the twentieth Greatest British Album of All Time.
