Groundcrew inspect a Halberstadt C.V. It was powered by a 220 hp Benz Bz.IV engine and although basically an army cooperation aircraft it was also used for reconnaissance. One fixed MG plus another mounted on a Scarff ring composed the armament, and a camera or radio could be carried depending on the type of sortie flown. 2) A single-seater Roland D. II. It was propelled by a 160 hp Mercedes D.lll and armed with two fixed MGs which fired through the propeller. 3) A lozenge camouflaged Albatros C.VIII bomber/reconnaissance aircraft. Power came from a 200 hp Benz engine and a 180 kg bomb load could be carried. A fixed MG 08/15. which fired through the propeller, was mounted on the right side of the engine. 4)An engine workshop of Armeeflugpark 14. The building itself was nothing more than a dimly-lit shed. In those days, too, German mechanics wore black overalls. An interesting basis for a diorama.
