While stopping to harvest lime for Destiny's failing life support system, Scott (BRIAN J. SMITH), Eli (DAVID BLUE), Wray (MING-NA) and Greer (JAMIL WALKER SMITH) discover a settlement of human inhabitants who became stranded while pioneering a new planet after the gate could no longer contact their home. They claim their civilization, Novus, was founded two thousand years earlier by Destiny's crew. 

While Col. Young considers their request to be taken back to their home planet, they are attacked by the Drones who have discovered a way to track Destiny. While some are able to escape the planet to Destiny, Scott, Eli and others become stranded after the Drones destroy the gate and the Destiny is forced to jump to safety.
